Iced Cardamom Green Tea

Iced cardamom green tea is the easiest way to make a hot afternoon feel like a spa. The catch with most versions is crushing whole pods and waiting for the flavor to steep out. A drop of cardamom green tea Elixir skips all of that — you get real cardamom aroma in cold water or cooled tea, no grinding, no grit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold water or brewed green tea, cooled
  • 2 drops Cardamom & Green Tea Elixir
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice
  • Lemon wheel and fresh mint, to garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew and cool (optional). If using brewed tea, steep green tea at about 175°F for 2 minutes, then cool. To go faster, just use cold water and let the Elixir carry the flavor.
  2. Add the Elixir. Stir 2 drops of Cardamom & Green Tea Elixir into the water or cooled tea.
  3. Sweeten (optional). If you want it sweet, stir in honey or maple while the liquid is still warm, or use a cold-dissolving sweetener.
  4. Ice and serve. Fill a tall glass with ice, pour the cardamom green tea over, and garnish with a lemon wheel and mint.

Tips

  • Batch it: multiply by 4 and keep a jug in the fridge for the week.
  • Unsweetened is genuinely good here — the cardamom reads as lightly sweet on its own.
  • For the brewing basics, see how to brew green tea without bitterness.
